The Toyota Fortuner 4.0 V6 petrol in South Africa, explained

The Toyota Fortuner 4.0 V6 is the petrol Fortuner of the first generation, the only petrol V6 in the range.

The Toyota Fortuner is the Hilux-based seven-seat SUV that defines the bakkie-platform SUV class in South Africa. The GD-6 era (2016 onward; 2.4 and 2.8 GD-6, including the VX and GR-Sport) is the volume seller; the D-4D generation before it (2.5 and 3.0 D-4D, plus the 4.0 V6 petrol, 2006 to 2016) remains popular as a value family 4x4. 4x4 versions hold value best.
